The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community ranks among the biggest employers in the state of Minnesota, The Twin Cities Business Journal reports.
The tribe recorded a 19.7 percent increase in jobs last year. The growth was fueled by the expansion of a golf course, continued growth at the tribe's casino and expansion of other tribal businesses.
The tribe ranks among the state's top 51 employers and shares its wealth with tribes throughout the nation.
