The Northern Cheyenne Tribe of Montana affirmed its recent election results but will conduct an inquiry to determine how mistakes were made.
One mistake resulted in the reversal of the results for one council seat. Another changed the vote tally on a contentious coalbed methane development referendum that was defeated.
The election board certified the results last Friday. A second review was conducted on Monday.
