The Intertribal Wordpath Society is hosting the ninth annual Celebration of Oklahoma Indian Language and Culture on Friday.
The celebration takes place at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds in Norman. It will feature Songs, stories and cultural presentations in several languages spoken in Oklahoma.
Only 24 Native languages are still spoken in the state, but some are down to a handful of speakers. Thirteen aren't used at all, including two that lost their last speakers in the last decade.
