Tribal members in Albuquerque, New Mexico, met on Monday to discuss the care they receive, or don't, from the Indian Health Service.
At issue is the contract health service program. Tribal members who need specialized care said the approval process takes too much time.
"It's a crazy game we've got to play," said Vietnam veteran Albert Cata, The Daily Lobo reported.
Albuquerque is home to more then 45,000 American Indians and Alaska Natives. The IHS cut funds to the only urban clinic in the city.
