Tribal and federal agents made numerous arrests across the Navajo Nation as part of a crackdown on methamphetamine.

In the first operation of its kind, the Navajo Nation and the FBI conducted early morning raids at the homes of meth dealers. In the Window Rock area alone, 10 people were arrested, with other arrests made in other parts of the reservation.

According to authorities, some of the people arrested were dealing meth to children. During an investigation, officers said they saw a 15-year-old buy meth.

In addition to the arrests, authorities have identified dozens of suspected meth traffickers.
