A Republican candidate for attorney general in Oklahoma is refusing to take money from the Oklahoma Farm Bureau because the group is affiliated with the anti-tribal One Nation.
Kevin Abel, an attorney, wrote the Farm Bureau and said he couldn't take their money "in good conscience." He said the group's ties to One Nation, which opposes tribal sovereignty, were troublesome in light of his civil rights record.
One Nation started in Oklahoma but has expanded to a national group and is affiliated with other anti-Indian groups like United Property Owners and the Citizens Equal Rights Alliance.
