The U.S. Department of Agriculture is considering buyers for the failed Si Tanka University campus in Huron, South Dakota.
The USDA extended a $3.3 million loan to Si Tanka. The loan is now in default and foreclosure proceedings could start.
A USDA official said several parties are interested in bailing out the campus but wouldn't disclose names. Previously, Ron Volesky, a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, expressed interest.
The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, which chartered Si Tanka, is focusing on keeping the on-reservation campus in Eagle Butte afloat.
