Funeral services for Vine Deloria Jr. will take place Friday, November 18, in Golden, Colorado.
Deloria, 72, died in Golden. The services will be held at 3:30pm in the Mount Vernon Event Center.
Deloria was a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and one of the most influential scholars in the United States.
Contributions, in lieu of flowers, are suggested to the Vine Deloria Scholarship Fund, c/o The American Indian Scholarship Fund, Attn: Rick Williams, 8333 Greenwood Blvd., Denver, CO 80221.
