The new president of First Nations University of Canada says the school is a very "political" place but denies being influenced by politics.

Charles Pratt took the job earlier this year. He has overseen a major financial and management shakeup that critics blame on political interference from tribal leaders.

Pratt says that isn't the case and that he is free to make decisions. But he said the faculty, staff and the school are "politicians."
