Federal Recognition
Deposition delayed in Eastern Pequot investor fight

A wealthy Florida businessman is claiming privilege over documents related to his dealings with the Eastern Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut.

William Koch is a partner in the tribe's casino effort. He was set to be deposed in a lawsuit filed by Donald Trump, who once had a deal to develop a casino for the tribe, until the claim of confidentiality was raised.

Trump says the tribe broke its word by working with Koch and developer David A. Rosow but is willing to settle for $500 million.
