Author/poet/director/screenwriter/comedian/mullet-admirer Sherman Alexie says he is his biggest critic.
"'Smoke Signals' comes on cable all the time and I have to flee," he said recently.
But the Spokane/Coeur d'Alene rabble-rouser says he is rather pleased with all of his success. From directing movies to writing best-sellers, he's been a hit with the crowds.
"I figured I'd have a good career but nothing like this. I'm almost a rock star," he told The Arizona Daily Star.
Alexie is making several appearances during the Tucson Poetry Festival this week.
