"Did my vote count?
It's a question I've never considered before this year because the assumption itself is devastating. Of course my vote counts. It has to count.
The system ought to be transparent -- and allow for each of us, as we wish, to check our own vote.
I can log on to my bank's Web site and see a record of my lunch purchase almost immediately. Why can't democracy be as visible?"
