The Lumbee Supreme Court on Friday issued an injunction to allow a fired tribal executive to stay on the job.
The court ruled that administrator Darlene Jacobs can't be fired without tribal council consent Jacobs was terminated by chairman Jimmy Goins without going to the council.
So the council will now meet Thursday to consider Jacobs fate. She was fired after officials from the Department of Housing and Urban Development said there may have been misuse of federal funds.
