Lumbee tribal administrator disputes termination

The chairman of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina fired the tribal administrator after federal auditors turned up problems with the tribe's housing program. But Darlene Jacobs says she has done nothing wrong. Jacobs has filed a petition with the Lumbee Supreme Court . She says she has been wrongfully terminated by chairman Jimmy Goins, who acted after the Department of Housing and Urban Development said it found possible misuse of federal funds. Get the Story:
