The race between Sen. Tom Daschle and Republican John Thune is being called too close to call as the campaign enters the final stretch.
A poll shows Daschle with a small 2-point lead over Thune. Daschle's lead dropped from 5 points a month ago.
Daschle, the Senate's minority leader, has the backing of the state's nine tribes. He says he has a proven record on Indian issues.
Thune says he will bring new ideas to Indian Country. He says the Democrats have made tribes become too dependent on the federal government.
