The Washington Post has compiled a list of ongoing exhibitions of Native art and Native-related art in Washington, D.C.,
The National Museum of Women in the Arts is showing a collection of pottery by Pueblo women. The paper says the display of works by Lucy Lewis (Acoma), Helen Cordero (Cochiti) and others is "small but illuminating."
The Kathleen Ewing Gallery's "Contemporary Native American Art" features photos by Victor Masayesva Jr. (Hopi) and Zig Jackson (Mandan/Hidatsa/Arikara). The paper calls it "Indian art with a bit of an edge (something you won't find at the new museum, by the way)."
