More than a dozen teachers at the Sho-Ban School on the Fort Hall Reservation in Idaho plan to take leave from their jobs in protest of the tribal council's actions.

Citing financial mismanagement and other irregularities, the tribal council fired a superintendent and coordinator. Later, the principal and two teachers, including one popular with students, resigned.

Tribal leaders have drafted a plan to bring the school into compliance with federal laws. But teachers say they are frustrated with the process.

Students staged a walkout earlier this month in protest of the shakeup.
