A judge in Connecticut held a hearing on Monday in a lawsuit involving financial backers of the newly recognized Eastern Pequot Tribal Nation.
According to news reports, more than a dozen interests are involved in the case. It was brought by Donald Trump, who is suing the a faction of the Eastern Pequot tribe that dropped him after gaining federal recognition.
Trump says he poured at least $10 million into the tribe in hopes of striking a casino deal while other investors have spent untold amounts. Trump wants to be compensated for his losses.
The next hearing will be held September 10. The judge didn't get to hear from all the parties on Monday.
