The chairman of the Skull Valley Goshute Tribe of Utah, under indictment for stealing tribal funds, is using tribal funds to pay for his criminal case.
Leon Bear is charged with six counts of embezzlement and tax fraud. At a court hearing on Monday, his attorney said he was being paid with tribal money.
Bear's trial is set to begin November 3.
