Yavapai-Prescott Tribe confirms plan to consolidate two casinos

The Yavapai-Prescott Tribe of Arizona will close its two existing casinos once a new facility is up and running.

The tribe operates Bucky's Casino and Yavapai Casino near a major intersection in Prescott. The tribe will be building a bigger facility, including a hotel, not far down the road.

“For this project, it works out to about approximately $80 million will be the impact over the next 18 months to 24 months of the project to the region,” tribal manager Rick Marcum told KJZZ.

Plans for the new casino will be announced at a press conference tomorrow.
