Mohegan Tribe to seek recount after Massachusetts casino vote

The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut will ask for a recount after residents in Palmer, Massachusetts, rejected a commercial casino by just 93 votes on Tuesday.

The $1 billion Mohegan Sun Palmer was seen as a winner heading into the election. The tribe is now questioning the results, citing potential problems in one voting precinct.

If the results are upheld, the tribe will be knocked out of the running for the western Massachusetts license. The other competitor -- MGM Resorts International -- has already won voter support for a casino in Springfield.
