Supervisors in Mendocino County, California, voted 4-1 to approve a casino agreement with the Pinoleville Pomo Nation.
The tribe is planning a 26,000 square-foot casino with 349 slot machines, 10 table games, a restaurant, a bar and lounge, a deli, a retail shop and other amenities. A second phase could include a larger facility with more gaming machines and a hotel.
The tribe has agreed to pay the county for law enforcement and fire services at the casino and to make payments in lieu of taxes.
