The Mashpee Wampanoag
Tribe of Massachusetts hosted a public forum on its plans for a casino in Taunton, Massachusetts.
About 300 people attended the meeting, The Cape Cod Times reported. Chairman Cedric Cromwell said the response was positive.
"I have not been approached by one person who said they did not want this," Cromwell told the paper.
The tribe is planning a $500 million facility. The 150,000 square-foot casino would feature 3,000 slot machines, 150 table games and 40 poker tables.
