Omaha Tribe starts construction on new gaming facility in Iowa

The Omaha Tribe of Nebraska broke ground on a new gaming facility on its trust land in Iowa. The tribe is building a temporary structure to replace CasinoOmaha, which closed last year due to flooding on the Missouri River. The facility will be renamed BlackBird Bend Casino when it reopens in December. At the same time, the tribe is building a permanent home for the casino.
