The Omaha Tribe of Nebraska has had a rough couple of years but is looking to get back on track with the reopening of its gaming facility in Iowa.
The tribe shut down CasinOmaha in June 2009 due to financial issues. It reopened in December 2010 but was forced to close in June 2011 due to flooding along the Missouri River.
The tribe is now planning to reopen as the Blackbird Bend Casino in December in a temporary building.
A permanent facility is being constructed.
