The Assembly of Manitoba
Chiefs is willing to discuss plans for a new casino but First Nations leaders say the final decision is up to them.
The AMC currently supports a casino in Carberry. But now there's talk of one in Brandon, a much larger city.
Brandon Mayor Shari Decter Hirst supports a casino in partnership with the Tribal Councils Investment Group, a First Nations-owned entity.
The AMC plans to sit down and discuss the project.
