The city council in Beloit, Wisconsin, voted 6-1 in favor of an off-reservation gaming agreement with the Ho-Chunk Nation.
The tribe plans to build a $150 million to $200 million casino. The facility would create more than 500 construction jobs and 2,000 permanent jobs.
The agreement will now before officials in Rock County.
