The Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin has launched goodforbeloit.org to promote its off-reservation casino.
The tribe wants to build a $150 million to $200 million facility in Beloit. The project would include a 45,000-square-foot casino, a 35,000-square-foot convention center and a 300-room hotel.
The tribe is negotiating an intergovernmental agreement with Beloit, whose officials support the casino.
The tribe has waived its sovereign immunity on some issues except employment, which will continue to be handled under tribal law.
