County official touts casino plan with Shinnecock Nation

Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano said a casino with the Shinnecock Nation of New York is on the table.

During his State of the County address on April 11. Mangano said the casino is one of three options for development around the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Mangano, however, did not talk about a proposed memorandum of understanding with the tribe. News reports have said the tribe is close to deal to pay $120 million for 40 acres by the coliseum.
