Tohono O'odham Nation open to deal tying casino to team

The Tohono O'odham Nation is interested in investing in the Phoenix Coyotes but one local official doesn't want the tribe involved.

The tribe says it will come to the table if the city of Glendale drops its lawsuit against an off-reservation casino. Mayor Elaine Scruggs, however, isn't open to the idea.

The tribe's proposed West Valley Resort would be near the Jobing.Com Arena, home to the Coyotes. Matthew Hulsizer, an investment banker who wants to buy the team, is willing to talk to the tribe.
