The casino business is back to normal for the Winnebago Tribe of
Nebraska.
The tribe closed the WinnaVegas Casino on June 10 when flooding from the Missouri River washed out the only road to the facility.
Operations got back on track on July 28, when the tribe brought in two amphibious vehicles to ferry patrons to the casino.
But now that the road is dry again, the casino resumes its 24-hour schedule.
Employees and patrons can easily get to the facility again.
"I'm happy today for our community. We've got 350 of our members back to work here today, supporting their families," council member Darwin Snyder said at a press conference, The Sioux City Journal reported.
The casino is located on trust land in Iowa.
