A Georgia lawmaker has withdrawn a bill that would have required legislative approval of Class III gaming compacts.
Sen. William Ligon (R) said he is concerned about tribes trying to buy land in the state.
His bill would have required a two-thirds vote of the House and the Senate to ratify future compacts.
