The Wyandotte Nation of Oklahoma is seeing significant opposition to its Class III compact in Kansas.
The tribe reached the deal with former governor Mark Parkinson (D) last year. New Gov. Sam Brownback (R) opposes the deal and so do four other tribes in Kansas.
The tribe operates Class II games at the 7th Street Casino in
downtown Kansas City. The deal authorizes slot machines at the facility.
