Voters in Oregon easily rejected Measure 75, which would have authorized a non-Indian casino.
According to unofficial results, nearly 68 percent of voters said no to the casino. Only 32 percent said yes.
Tribes opposed the project. The Confederated Tribes of
Grand Ronde spent $442,000 against it while the
Confederated Tribes of Siletz
Indians contributed $93,000 and the Oregon Tribal Gaming
Alliance gave $44,102.
Clairvest Investment Group
Inc., a Canadian firm, spent $2 million on the campaign.
