The Eastern Shawnee
Tribe of Oklahoma hasn't been in contact with the city of Monroe, Ohio, about a casino, officials said.
The tribe had options for several parcels in the city. But some of them expired and it's not clear whether there are any deals on the table.
"We have not had any discussion with them. It’s up in the air what they plan to do," City Manager William Brock told The Dayton Daily News.
Officials support gaming but they say the tribe would have to come back to the city council to renew its agreement.
