Mohegan Tribe goes 23 months without gain in slot revenue

The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut has gone 23 months without showing a year-to-year gain in slot machine revenues.

The tribe has seen double-digit percentage drops in slot machine revenues in the past two years. But the Mohegan Sun appears to be turning a corner -- the declines in the last two months have only been around 1 percent.

“I’m happy we had a solid month,” president and CEO Mitchell G. Etess told The Norwich Bulletin. “We’re as close to flat for the first time in 23 months. We’re excited about that.”

Etess said tribe hopes to see some growth now that revenues appear to be stabilizing.
