A labor union has withdrawn its request for the National Labor Relations Board to hold an election at the casino owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut.
The International Union of Operating Engineers will instead proceed under tribal law. The union wants to represent engineering, facilities, projects, engineering apprenticeship and interior landscape workers at Foxwoods Resort Casino and MGM Grand at Foxwoods.
The United Auto Workers has organized card dealers at the casino through tribal law.
