A labor union has asked the National Labor Relations Board to schedule an election at the casino owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut.
International Union of Operating Engineers wants to represent engineering, facilities, projects, engineering apprenticeship and interior landscape at Foxwoods Resort Casino and MGM Grand at Foxwoods.
But rather than go through tribal law, the union is asking the NLRB to step in.
Employees rejected the union in a May 2008 vote.
