Kansas Gov. Mark Parkinson (D) rejected a fourth request to delay a state-owned casino that developers fear would be hurt by a tribal gaming facility.
The Chisholm
Creek Casino Resort won a license from the state to operate a casino in Sumner County. But developers have delayed the project, citing the potential
Wyandotte Nation off-reservation casino and other factors.
The Oklahoma-based tribe doesn't appear to be anywhere close to receiving federal approval to use 10 acres near Wichita for the casino. The Chisholm Creek site is also near Wichita.
