The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal
Nation of Connecticut is still a part of a deal to operate a state-owned casino near Wichita, Kansas.
The tribe "retains an economic interest" in the Chisholm Creek Casino Resort, The New London Day reported. Foxwoods Development Co. is consulting on the project, an executive said.
The Kansas Lottery approved a contract for the casino but the size, number of games and amenities depend on plans by the Wyandotte Nation to open an off-reservation casino in Park City, about 10 miles from Wichita.
