Alleged Indian man deported from Canada

EDNESDAY, APRIL 30, 2003 A man who claims he is Indian but lacks written documentation was deported to the United States from Canada. Charlie Smoke plans to stay with friends on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. He left a wife and family behind in Canada. Smoke claims Lakota and Mohawk ancestry. Get the Story:
