TUESDAY, APRIL 29, 2003 A man who claims to be Indian but lacks documentation is disputing evidence that Canadian officials are using to deport him. Charlie Smoke claims Lakota and Mohawk ancestry. Canadian officials say he is really Roger Leo Adams, a non-Indian from Tennessee. A family friend told CBC that Smoke always wanted to be Indian. Get the Story:
