“When the first case of COVID-19 was confirmed on the Navajo Nation in March of 2020, there were a lot of uncertainties and we didn’t know much about the virus. Two years later, our public health experts and scientists have learned a lot about COVID-19 and they have given us the guidance and tools that we need to protect ourselves and others. We have to remain diligent and continue to take precautions, especially in public places and if we travel off the Navajo Nation. We are in this together and through the strength of our ancestors we will overcome,” said Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez.

Health care facilities on the Navajo Nation continue to administer COVID-19 vaccines. If you would like to receive one of the COVID-19 vaccines, please contact your health care provider and schedule an appointment.

“We owe so much gratitude to our frontline workers and all of the first responders who continue to devote themselves to saving lives during this pandemic. As leaders of our Nation, we thank you and we recognize your sacrifices as you continue to fight for all of us. We are in this together and we must continue to support and pray for one another,” said Vice President Myron Lizer.
