UPDATE: THIRTY-FOUR (34) active COVID-19 positive cases within the Pueblo of Laguna; with twelve (12) of the cases being children between the ages of 2-15. The POL EOC continues to track & monitor the COVID-19 virus in our community and schools.
DON’T LET YOUR GUARD DOWN! POL EOC data shows the leading cause of recent COVID-19 exposures is due to failure of monitoring and reporting COVID-19 symptoms AND unvaccinated people spreading the virus to vaccinated people and children. The Laguna community is small enough that when exposures occur, they have the potential to quickly spread among our schools, impact a large number of households, and disrupt workplaces & services offered to the community.
If you or any of your household members are not feeling well STAY HOME and notify the school or your workplace for further guidance.
GET VACCINATED! The Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine has received Full FDA Approval. Getting vaccinated means, you will be protected from serious illness and hospitalization if you become infected by the virus. You also strengthen our “community immunity” to help further safeguard and keep our children who are still too young to receive the vaccine safe!
Remember, face masks and social distancing continue to be VERY IMPORTANT when you venture outside your home and the Pueblo. Stay aware of your surroundings and choose outdoor activities with your own household. If COVID-19 symptoms are present or you’re unsure, STAY HOME! Protect those who are not vaccinated, especially our children by practicing your COVID-19 Safe Practices.
