“Stay local, stay safe. The safest place to be is at home here on the Navajo Nation. The more people who travel off the Navajo Nation and attend large gatherings while not wearing masks, the more people that will return home and spread the Delta variant to family members and others. Our health care experts can only do so much. They’ve given us the guidance and knowledge to protect ourselves from COVID-19, but it’s ultimately our personal choices and actions that impact the overall results for our Nation. We have to do better, we have to keep wearing masks, and get more of our people fully vaccinated as soon as possible. We are in this together,” said Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez.

Health care facilities across the Navajo Nation continue to administer COVID-19 vaccines. If you would like to receive one of the COVID-19 vaccines, please contact your health care provider and schedule an appointment.

“Thank you to all of the men and women on the frontlines working through the weekend to save lives. We all have to do our part to keep our people safe and healthy, so please be safe and continue to take precautions. Keep praying for our people,” said Vice President Myron Lizer.
