In a video message on March 24, 2020, Governor Stephen Roe Lewis of the Gila River Indian Community updated the tribe on coronavirus efforts on the reservation in Arizona. He said no new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed, following the first two that emerged earlier this week. He said both patients remain in isolation and are not considered to be in critical condition at this time.
Lewis said he will be providing daily updates.

Gila River Lt. Governor Robert Stone, also provided a coronavirus update, this one in the O’otham language spoken on the reservation.
