“The Navajo Nation is working hard to get as many of our people vaccinated for COVID-19 as possible. We are currently in “Yellow Status” and we are making progress, but we need more of our people to get vaccinated to get us closer to our goal of community immunity. Together, we are overcoming the pandemic one day at a time, but we have to remain cautious and be mindful that there are variants in our communities that continue to pose risks for us all. Please continue to wear masks in public, wash your hands often, practice social distancing, avoid large in-person gatherings, and limit travel as much as possible,” said Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez.
Health care facilities across the Navajo Nation continue to administer COVID-19 vaccines during drive-thru events or by appointment. If you would like to receive the vaccine, please contact your health care provider for more information for your Service Unit.
“We are in this together and we are emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic day by day, but we must remain diligent and keep pushing forward. The vaccines are playing a big part in protecting our people and reducing the impacts of the virus. Please remain diligent and keep praying for our people, our frontline workers, and our communities,” said Vice President Myron Lizer.
