FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2002 "I am responding to the article in the Argus Leader about the National Indian Gaming Organization doing a fund-raising event for Stephanie Herseth in attempts to "retire" Gov. Bill Janklow. American Indian men negatively view Janklow for his prosecution of tribal members during the AIM era. They say Janklow never built race relations with Indian people. . . . We have an American Indian - Terry Begay - running against two Europeans, and yet our own people will not do a fund-raiser for him. So where is the support for our own people?" Get the Story:
