Seneca Nation vows land claim appeal

MONDAY, JUNE 24, 2002 The Seneca Nation of New York is planning an appeal of a federal judge's ruling on its claim to Grand Island. U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara threw out the claim on Friday. The ruling was welcomed by the 18,000 residents of the island. Get the Story:
