Poll: Janklow should resign if charged for fatal crash

Rep. Bill Janklow (R-S.D.) should step down from Congress if charged in connection with a car crash that killed a motorcyclist, according to a new poll. Half of respondents to the Mason-Dixon Polling and Research Inc. poll said Janklow's political career is over if he is charged. But far fewer were willing to say he should resign immediately. However, 53 percent of respondents think Janklow is getting special treatment as a well-known and politically connected figure. Ralph Nader, former Green Party presidential candidate, is calling on Janklow to resign. Nader says Janklow's history of speeding makes him a poor public servant. Get the Story:
